Navigating feelings of inadequacy and shame related to the beliefs you grew up with?
Noticing the ripple effects of purity culture as you try to navigate dating & relationships?
Feeling unsure of who you really are versus who you’ve been taught you “should” be?
Reckoning with the differences between your current beliefs/values and those of your family or friends?
I’ve got you.
“Shame is never a healthy or ethical tactic to inspire change.”
As an ex-Evangelical, I truly get how much of an impact adverse religious experiences can have on so many aspects of life. I’m here to walk alongside you as you find your path forward. You are the expert on yourself in this process— I’m committed to not be another person in power telling you what to do. I’ll support you in learning to listen to your intuition, create a life that aligns with your values, and banish shame.
Whether you choose or have already chosen to deconvert, deconstruct, or create a new relationship to your religion/spirituality that feels true to you, I’m here for you.
Deconstruction: the process of critically evaluating one’s beliefs, practices, and teachings. This process often stems from a realization that one’s beliefs no longer seem to align with their values.
Deconversion: the process of losing one’s religious belief or faith and choosing to no longer identify as a member of that faith community.
